Sea snail paths – natural drawings on Philippine beach sands

Posted on Feb 14, 2013 in living, places

Back in November 2012, I found the paths of little sea snails on the sands of a beach of Palawan Island. They look like drawings and writing! Check these pictures out:

swirls and wiggles

a criss cross and almost straight lines.

an apple. an upside down BA.

almost a NGA.

swirly path.

a letter G!

Do you see any baybayin-like shapes? I think I do.
Makes me wonder how our Philippine ancestors viewed little sea snail paths in the sand too but our ancestors were surely inspired to draw and write in beach sand also! What did they write and draw then? We can only guess, dream and envision.
